Project Description

This regional project to have for goal to prevent gender based violence and to create an environment favorable to the respect of women’s human rights and the enhancing of gender equality.

 The goals of the  project :


a)    To increase the capacities of select women and human rights NGOs to advocate and development programs combating gender based violence; 

b)  To promote safe, respectful, and equality-based relationships; 

c)   To integrate gender based violence prevention into educational policies and to help institutions to deal more effectively with this serious and multi-faceted problem. 

 

Activities;

1.Building the capacities for local partner organizations

2.Specific country programs – sub grant ( administrative support for partners organizations; trainings/ education/ workshop; research, advocacy and policy development; media campaigns and awareness raising; support for victims assistance initiatives (SOS telephone or shelter)

3.Networking and Regional cooperation  GBV
