Anti/trafficking Initiative in the Western Balkans / phase 2

Anti/trafficking Initiative in the Western Balkans / phase 2

Project Description

The goal of the project is to assist local NGOs and anti-trafficking networks to improve their effectiveness to prevent, raise awareness of and respond to trafficking and gender-based violence in
Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) and Croatia. The support will enable the networks and NGOs to exchange information and good practices in order to learn from each other.
The overall goal of the project is that the networks and NGOs will have the necessary capacity and coordination in order to be able to influence and monitor governmental anti-trafficking policies and to be able to advocate for a human rights based approach in all stages of the anti-trafficking work, from the prevention to the assistance phase - with the needs and the rights of the victims of trafficking at the centre of any intervention.
The project will be a continuation and development of the earlier anti-trafficking project funded by the Oak Foundation and implemented by CARE NWB between 2006 and 2008.
